La Tomatina, part of a much larger celebration, marks the end of a week for full parades, parties, and street markets. From 2013, the participation has been limited to ticket holders and only 20,000 tickets are given out. It was estimated that in the year 2015, around 145,000 Kg of tomatoes were thrown.

Feria de Abril (The April Fair of Seville)

The traditional lighting of the entrance to the fair at midnight marks the beginning of this festival. For the week that follows, the streets are filled with entertainment, extravagance and the best of Andalusian art such as flamenco.
